Grants for internships
We provide financial support for internships in the Chinese cultural region lasting a minimum of three months in the form of a mobility grant.
Funding Amount:
Travel and mobility allowance (up to a maximum of € 850)
Who can apply?
Students who fulfill the following requirements:
- Enrollment at a Bavarian public university and university of applied sciences
- Passed an intermediate examination (Zwischenprüfung) or completed at least 70 ECTS
Application Documents:
Please submit the following documents by e-mail to foerderung@baychina.de:
- Signed funding application → [Download template]
- Internship plan
- Confirmation from the company (see Annex 1 of the application)
- CV
- Letter of motivation
- Copy of the intermediate examination (Zwischenprüfung) or grade/credit overview from the examination office
- Current certificate of enrollment

Application deadline:
Applications can be submitted at any time, however, at least six weeks before the start of the internship.
After completing your internship - Next steps?
Within six months of returning, but no later than February 28 for stays in China during the summer semester or August 31 for stays in China during the winter semester, the following documents must be submitted:

- Copy of entry and exit stamps (passport)
- Internship certificate
- Receipt list → [Download template]
- Original receipts (max. 850 €) for:
- Flights (economy class)
- Train (2nd class, in connection with arrival/departure in China)
- Taxi (in connection with arrival/departure in China)
- Visa
- Health & liability insurance
- Vaccinations
