The Bavarian University Center for China (BayCHINA) is a service institution for all state universities in Bavaria with regard to academic relations with China...

...which was established in 2007 by agreement between the Bavarian Rectors' Conferences (Universität Bayern e.V. and Hochschule Bayern e.V.) and the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts with the aim of strengthening academic relations between China and Bavaria.

In accordance with the rules of procedure, BayCHINA operates as an institution of the University of Bayreuth with a service character for all Bavarian state universities and universities of applied sciences.
