BayCHINA supports students and researchers from public universities and universities of applied sciences in Bavaria with the aim of expanding academic cooperation between Bavaria and China.

The funding programmes for academics include the Project-Related Researcher Exchange (proWA) programme, which supports cooperation in research and teaching as well as the initiation of contacts with China, and the funding offer for study excursions (StudEx) to the cultural region of China. This year saw the first ever dialogue trip for early-career researchers from various disciplines. This initiative is set to continue in the future, with the aim of enabling researchers from Bavaria to engage in exchanges with China.

For students, BayCHINA offers funding opportunities for internships, study visits and academic theses in the cultural region of China.
