BayCHINA supports students at Bavarian public universities and universities of applied sciences in carrying out a study-related internship in China by providing grants for additional costs incurred abroad, such as airfare, insurance, etc. The grant is awarded according to the student's academic performance and the purpose or likelihood of success of the internship (motivation letter and internship plan). The awarding of the grant is based on the student's academic performance and the practicality or prospects of success of the internship (letter of motivation and internship plan). Students at Bavarian public universities and universities of applied sciences who have already passed the intermediate examination or have earned at least 70 credits are eligible to apply. Internships lasting at least three months are eligible for funding. As a rule, the grant is only awarded after completion of the internship and submission of an internship report and internship certificate. The grant cannot be awarded, or only to a lesser extent, to applicants who are already receiving support from another source (e.g. Auslandsbafög).
Applications can be submitted at any time. However, they should be submitted to us early enough to ensure that a decision can be made before the start of the trip. Funding for internships that have already begun or been completed is not possible.
